Free Water Stations

Free Water for All!

By Water for the Americas

Imagine this.

Your feet finally make contact with the festival grounds you’ve been anticipating all year. You whip out the homemade schedule you crafted with your favorite artists circled, and begin the all night dance-a-thon. But wait. You’re on your second or third stage hop and you’ve sweat out all the nutrients in your body. Your throat is parched, the sun is beaming, and you’re dying for a drink of water. What if you could never have a drink of fresh water again?

Luckily for you, Euphoria Music & Camping Festival has teamed up with Water for the Americas to provide free water (via water stations throughout the grounds) for our cherished attendees. Never make the mistake of not being properly hydrated again. Unfortunately, however, 34 million people in the Americas (North/Central/South/Caribbean) do not have stable access to this basic necessity of life. Water for the Americas is an organization dedicated to educating through unity and providing water to those that need it most.

Why does it matter?

Water scarcity is running rampant throughout the Americas at an alarming rate. If nothing is done, nearly half of the world’s population will be living in areas of extreme water risk by 2030 (UN, 2013).-Water for the Americas. That’s why it matters. This catastrophe not only affects a portion of the population now, but it will trickle into the fabric of our society for generations to come. We must be proactive now if we wish to save our life source and our planet in the future. Remember, our bodies are composed of more than 50% water.

What can I do?

We can end the American water crisis together, with help from the miraculous efforts of Water for the Americas. Through a collective collaboration of individuals, companies, non-profit organizations and government agencies, Water for the Americas is determined to educate awareness and figure out possible solutions to a growing problem.

Embarking on a journey from Boston to Rio de Janerio, they will be engaging with local communities to receive support and notify the public about what’s going on. The petition van will be parked at Euphoria Music & Camping Festival this year, and all attendees are encouraged to sign it and get informed about the water crisis. They will also be providing free water for all, so bring an EMPTY bottle in to get it filled.
